Collection
The collection is every note in Word Nest, sorted not by month but by the time of day that shaped it. I find months too administrative for a personal blog; the light at seven in the morning and the light at seven in the evening are different countries, even when the postcode stays the same.
Under Early you will find the kopitiam note — the second boil of the kettle, the counter before the queue forms. Under Afternoon sit the West Coast walk and the bus stop piece, two entries that share the same unhurried middle of the day but not the same path. Under After dark are the lamp essay and the Chin Swee memory from 12 November 2025, which lives at the site root and is linked here like any other row.
Each card below uses the same lead photograph as its leaf page. Nothing is marked featured or pinned; the design treats every entry as equal because that is how I experience them in memory — none louder than the rest, none asking to be read first unless you choose it.

If you arrived from the nest page, you have already seen these titles in timeline form. This archive is the same material with time-of-day headings and a little more room to breathe. Start anywhere. The park connector will still be there tomorrow, and the kettle will still reach a second boil whether or not anyone reads about it.

The photograph above is Clementi at the hour when afternoon loosens its grip — not quite after dark, not quite afternoon any longer. That in-between quality is why I sort by time of day rather than month: dusk belongs to its own country, and this page tries to honour that.
Five notes, three headings, one archive — simple maths for a small blog written slowly in Clementi.
